Day 17: staying in
Dorsey and I stay in together a lot since I mostly work from home. So I immediately knew what I would take a photo of for today’s prompt. Here’s a shot of our typical positions when I’m editing, writing, social networking, or just plain messing around on the internet during the day in my writing/editing room, aka our spare bedroom.
Dorsey loves to snuggle in beside me, lying against my leg. This is nice on cold winter days, but not so comfy on hot summer days before we turn on our a/c. For now, I’m enjoying it immensely, especially since that two-day taste of spring has run away and winter’s back in full force for a while.
For this shot, I set up my camera on a tripod and used the self-timer. I did find my remote shutter release when I went searching for it, but I think the battery needs replacing, so I’ll have to wait to try it out for the first time. (It’s been stored in my camera bag since the day I got it. Oops!) I also played around with adding a special border since the image was fairly simple. I’m learning new things every day thanks to this Joy of Love course, even when it’s just inspiring me to Google things!
